The �Ը������� University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Room 247 at the Design Innovation (DI) Hub on the Kent Campus. 

Courtney Donovan, ’20, came to �Ը������� to study art and pursue her interest in the sciences. She left with a career hand-sculpting new eyes, ears and noses for patients rebuilding their lives after cancer and trauma.

Even 25 years later, Sept. 11, 2001, remains embedded in collective memory. For �Ը������� University English instructor Robert McDowell, poetry offers space to revisit those moments. His new collection, “The Excellent Assembly,” reflects on 9/11 and the lasting emotional impact of a tragedy that stopped time.

�Ը������� University’s Aeronautics and Engineering Expo returns Sept. 26 with historic and modern aircraft, airplane rides, drone and robotics demonstrations, and family-friendly STEM activities at the �Ը������� University Airport.

As the world prepares for the 25th commemoration of the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, our �Ը������� community will be recognizing this day during a special event on Sept. 10.

�Ը������� University will be closed Sept. 7 to observe Labor Day. No classes are scheduled on the holiday, and university offices are closed. The university will resume normal operations on Sept. 8.

"Magan's Fare," a short film co-directed by two �Ը������� University faculty members, was just listed on as one of seven short films from Scott Feinberg's predictions for the Oscars for Best Live Action Short. 

�Ը������� University's College of the Arts and College of Architecture and Environmental Design proudly continue the esteemed Thomas Schroth Visiting Artist Series, a dynamic platform launched in 2001 to bring celebrated artists and designers to the �Ը������� campus and Northeast Ohio community.

More than 400 students attended �Ը������� University’s Student Employment Fair to meet with employers and put their networking skills into action.

U.S. Sen. Jon Husted visited �Ը������� University's College of Podiatric Medicine on Sept. 2 for a tour of the college's Independence, Ohio, campus, meeting with students and learning more about the college's mission to train the next generation of podiatric physicians.

�Ը������� University officials took student support beyond campus on Sept. 2, visiting four Kent neighborhoods to welcome off-campus students and connect them with university and community resources.

�Ը������� University’s Center for Public Policy and Health and Prevention Action Alliance received a $3 million federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant to expand substance use prevention across 20 counties in eastern and southeastern Ohio.

The �Ը������� University Museum presents a new exhibition by internationally recognized, Cleveland-based artist Aimee Lee. “Aimee Lee: Every Last Scrap” is on display through May 24, 2027.
