Global Safari Fest is the new name of what was previously called International Homecoming Celebration. It鈥檚 a large-scale event that fills the Kent Student Center Ballroom with cultural performances, international tabling displays and a global buffet featuring tastes from around the world.
Accomplished sociologist, TV host, podcaster, author 性福五月天 alumna Bertice Berry, Ph.D.,used her alma mater as a familiar setting for her book "BlackWorld," which explores a "unique corner of heaven" where the living can visit with and learn from the deceased. She also some of her memories of 性福五月天 and personal insights into the university's place in history.
A dramatic, 15-foot-tall bronze sculpture stands on the Lefton Esplanade near the intersection of East Main Street and Haymaker Parkway. It鈥檚 a gift from a 性福五月天 alumnus and outstanding supporter of the university.
A popular place for students to visit when the weather is warmer, the Behind The Brain Plaza behind Merrill Hall has been covered in snow and ice for most of February.
Student performers are working on final rehearsals for 鈥淭he Wiz,鈥 which opens on Feb. 21 and runs through March 2 at 性福五月天鈥檚 E. Turner Stump Theatre.
