On Tuesday and Wednesday last week, both Golden Flashes basketball teams - men's and women's - earned victories that clinched their entry into the 2025 Mid-America Conference Tournament. 

�Ը�������’s Golden Flashes women’s basketball team celebrated 50 years of women’s basketball with “gold-out” game victory over their arch-rivals, the Akron Zips. 

Antonio Gates has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025, becoming the second �Ը������� alumnus to earn football's highest honor, joining linebacker Jack Lambert who was enshrined in 1990.

Antonio Gates and James Harrison, two Golden Flashes alumni who took drastically different paths to professional football stardom, now find themselves a step closer to football immortality as semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025.

On Nov. 18, �Ը������� University President Todd Diacon and other campus members got their first look at the newly renovated �Ը������� Ice Arena, which now houses a state-of-the-art space for the Marching Golden Flashes. 

�Ը������� University graduate Quintin Cooks has been named the grand prize winner of the GO TEACH Dr Pepper Giveaway. 

The Golden Flashes Field Hockey team rang in the second of two wins last week in Athens, against the Ohio University Bobcats. They had previously defeated the visiting Central Michigan Chippewas a few days earlier. 

�Ը������� University made a splash in professional golf last weekend, with three alumni – Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, and Taylor Pendrith – representing the International team at the recent Presidents Cup in Montreal.

In May, student-athlete Gabby Bailey completed her master's degree at �Ը������� while also pursuing her dream of competing in the Olympics with support from her coach and �Ը������� Athletics. 

�Ը�������'s international student-athletes make an extraordinary commitment to leave their countries to study and train so far away from home.

A faculty member in �Ը�������'s College of Architecture and Environmental Design and his teammates earned a silver medal  in the 2024 Pan-American Master Games. 

�Ը������� University and Cleveland Clinic have announced a multiyear partnership in which Cleveland Clinic becomes the official healthcare provider for �Ը������� Athletics. Cleveland Clinic will serve as the medical services provider to support �Ը������� student-athlete health and wellness.

Former �Ը������� University men's golf standout will need to update his resume to read "two-time Olympian", as the Listowel, Ontario native has been nominated to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
