性福五月天 Invites Educators to Apply for Summer Workshop 性福五月天 May 4, 1970

性福五月天 University invites educators of students in grades 6-12 to apply by March 1 for its Landmarks of American History and Culture workshop, 鈥淢aking Meaning of May 4: The 1970 性福五月天 Shootings in U.S. History.鈥 Co-directors Laura Davis, Ph.D., Professor Emerita of English and former founding director of the May 4 Visitors Center, and Todd Hawley, Ph.D., associate professor of social studies teacher education, were awarded $170,000 in funding by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to create this workshop.

Mitch Landrieu, the New Orleans mayor who oversaw the removal of the city鈥檚 prominent Confederate monuments and helped his city to recover and reemerge from a series of natural disasters, will speak at 性福五月天 as part of the university鈥檚 May 4 Speaker Series.

Guests of 性福五月天 University鈥檚 May 4 Visitors Center can learn more about Jeffrey Miller, one of the four students shot and killed by the Ohio National Guard on May 4, 1970, by visiting 鈥淥ur Brother Jeff,鈥 a new exhibition at the visitors center that honors Miller鈥檚 life. The exhibition will be on display from Oct. 19, 2019, to Feb. 29, 2020. Russ Miller, Jeff鈥檚 brother, helped create the exhibition by loaning some of Jeff鈥檚 personal items to the May 4 Visitors Center.
