MedFlex Plan
MedFlex is designed to provide an additional, lower-premium medical-plan option for eligible non-bargaining and AFSCME employees who are comfortable receiving routine, non-emergency care through a focused network of participating providers and facilities. MedFlex generally does not provide coverage for non-emergency care received outside the MedFlex network. Employees who choose an out-of-network provider or facility for non-emergency care may be responsible for the full cost of services.
Coverage highlights of the MedFlex plan
- Preventive care is covered 100% with in-network providers
- Low monthly premiums
- Deductible for in-network providers: $300 for single coverage and $600 for family coverage.
