ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì Board of Trustees Announces Partnership With Bio-Med Science Academy
ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University’s Board of Trustees approved a new partnership between the university and Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School that will bring new life to the underutilized Michael Schwartz Center building while providing the public STEM school with a state-of-the-art facility for its elementary grades. The Board’s vote of approval came during its regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 11.

Museum Receives Grant for Historic Building Energy Audit
The ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University Museum has received an award from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation to fund a comprehensive energy audit of its historic 1928 building, Rockwell Hall. The audit will evaluate the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and provide recommendations for sustainable facility improvements.

The ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.

An innovative design, energy-efficient systems, water conservation technologies and environmentally responsible construction materials are some of the features that earned Crawford Hall, ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University’s newest – and largest – academic building, LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
