At a university, every employee plays a role in creating a safe learning and working environment. Emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time. Whether it is severe weather, a medical emergency, a fire alarm, a hazardous material release, or a security incident, knowing how to respond can make a significant difference in protecting lives and minimizing disruption. Emergency response training provides employees with the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and effectively when seconds matter. 

“Movers and Groovers” will take place from Aug. 19-20 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Each year it takes a large number of volunteers to make this event a success, and that’s where we need your help! Volunteers will help by greeting new students as they arrive on campus, helping students move into their residence hall rooms, and guiding new students and answering questions they may have about moving in. Faculty and staff volunteers will receive a free meal swipe, and can earn 10 Wellness Your Way reward points.

The �Ը������� Museum is proud to announce "Aimee Lee: Every Last Scrap,” a solo exhibition featuring internationally recognized artist and scholar Aimee Lee. On display Aug. 14 through May 24, 2027, the exhibition features garments created entirely by hand from hanji, traditional korean paper made from the bark of mulberry trees. Join us for the opening reception for “Aimee Lee: Every Last Scrap” from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 at the �Ը������� University Museum. Space is limited, and advance registration is required by Aug. 7.

Kent Chorus is comprised of students, staff, faculty and community members who have previous choral experience and a desire to engage in meaningful music-making with others. Kent Chorus frequently collaborates with other choral ensembles and the KSU Orchestra. Rehearsals begin on Aug. 25. New singers are welcomed for the first two weeks of each semester. No audition is needed. Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 7:15-9:45 p.m.
