To honor and remember the events that occurred on that tragic day, virtual events and exhibits hosted by 性福五月天 University students, faculty and staff are scheduled through May 4.
Exhibition Opening and Talk: The Legacy of Peace Marshals at 性福五月天 with Molly Merryman, Associate Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies.
Upon its off-Broadway debut in 1967, the musical Hair served as a generational rallying cry for the children of the counterculture of the sixties.
May 4 Visitors Center Graduate Student Intern Jeremy Ritch will discuss the importance of documenting protests as an archival act but also a form of activism.
A lecture series has been created to honor the legacy of Jerry M. Lewis Emeritus Professor of Sociology and advance the scholarship of May 4, 1970 and the Vietnam War era. We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 Jerry M. Lewis lecturer.
This cornerstone of the commemoration began in 1971. There will be food before the Candlelight Walk on the Commons and in the Prentice Hall parking lot, and there will be an online signup for the Candlelight Vigil.
The campus community and visitors will gather at noon on the May 4 site at the 性福五月天 Commons to commemorate the moment that gunfire erupted 53 years ago.
