LaunchPad Awards

To facilitate transdisciplinary collaborative grant proposal development and increase the number of competitive external proposal submissions among 性福五月天 University scholars, we are providing pilot funds to support research team building and pilot data collection for external grant proposal preparation. The maximum award amount is $20,000. Proposals must include investigators from different departments, colleges, or schools within 性福五月天 University. Priority will be given to basic and applied research that improves the health of individuals and communities by preventing disease and injury and promoting quality of life. Small Grants

In conjunction with the other 性福五月天 University Institutes, the Healthy Communities Research Institute offers pilot funding to faculty members. Priority will be given to basic and applied research that improves the health of individuals and communities by preventing disease and injury and promoting quality of life. Research proposals can only be submitted to one institute through this funding mechanism. Recipients of the Small Grant Awards can receive up to $5,000 from HCRI and may be eligible for supplemental funding in the amounts of $2,500 or $3,500 (if project involves undergraduate research) through the University Research Council.  Current HCRI members are eligible to apply for Small Grant Awards. Distinguished Dissertation and Thesis Awards

The Healthy Communities Research Institute Distinguished Dissertation and Thesis Awards recognize the highest level of graduate student scholarship at Kent State  University, highlighting the original and innovative work of our master鈥檚 students and doctoral candidates. Priority will be given to basic or applied research that improves the health of individuals or communities by preventing disease and injury and promoting quality of life.
