Every time I visit ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University, I can’t help but think that that one decision I made to go to the police academy turned into this. And by "this," I mean a life that I don’t need a break from, a profession that I love, and a career full of good stories and fulfillment.

Thomas Haren
Classes of 1978 and 1987

I got my dream job, teaching life science and biology and sharing my passion with thousands of students. It never seemed like work because I enjoyed every day of teaching.

I got to live in Denmark as an exchange student, and after getting my MA in 1995, I went on to teach in the Middle East and Asia. I met my wife while teaching in Japan.

My education at ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì laid the foundation for everything I have gone on to achieve. The knowledge and mindset I developed there continue to drive the strategic, collaborative and results-driven approach I bring to leadership today.

Through the ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì’s Golden Future Survey, faculty and staff were invited to share perspectives on the opportunities, priorities and bold ideas that can help ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì move forward together.
