How do I schedule an advising appointment and find my advisor?
College Credit Plus students are required to meet with a 性福五月天 academic advisor before scheduling courses. Schedule your advising appointment through KSU Navigate.
Schedule an Advising Appointment
性福五月天 has multiple campuses, and advisors are assigned by the campus offering courses. Students can find advisor information in FlashLine by navigating to:
Student > Dashboard > My Advisor
How should I prepare for my advising appointment?
Academic advisors help students make decisions that match their future goals. Before meeting with an advisor, students should prepare questions and look ahead at courses for the semester. Students can prepare for appointments by looking at:
- 性福五月天 pathways to explore interests
- High school requirements that may be met through CCP coursework
- Course availability for the upcoming semester
- Transportation needs and possible time conflicts
Don't be afraid to reach out to academic advisors for help with any university questions or issues.
How do I register for classes?
After completing required advising, register for your approved courses through FlashLine. 性福五月天's Registration & Records page provides current registration instructions, dates and deadlines.
Is there a limit to the number of courses I can take?
CCP students can take up to 30 credit hours per academic year and 120 total CCP credit hours over the course of their participation. This includes every CCP course that students take at a college or university as well as any CCP courses taught at students' local high school.
This means that students cannot exceed the CCP credit limit when combining the credits of the summer, spring and fall semesters. Exceeding the 30 credit hour limit will result in additional fees for course enrollment.
Working closely with advisors can help students make the most of their credits and stay on schedule to complete their high school and college requirements.
What semesters can I take courses?
CCP students can take courses during the same semesters as traditional 性福五月天 Students: spring, summer and fall.
Most students take courses during the fall and spring, but summer courses are also available to keep students on track.
Important note on summer enrollment
Students who choose to enroll in CCP during the summer will have to complete courses in a shorter 5-8 week semester, instead of a traditional 15-week semester. Because of this, summer courses often have quicker, heavier schedules to account for the shorter window.
Students should also be aware that summer courses do not count toward academic eligibility for the upcoming school year.
Can you take CCP courses at multiple colleges or universities?
Students are permitted to take College Credit Plus courses at more than one college or university during the same academic year. The state of Ohio's College Credit Plus rules allow students to participate at any number of participating colleges as long as they follow each school's admission and registration process.
Students looking to participate in CCP courses at multiple colleges or universities should be aware that:
- Each college makes its own admissions decision
- Students register for courses separately at each institution
- All CCP courses count toward students' limit of 30 credits per academic year
- Students are responsible for meeting each institution's deadlines, policies and procedures
Taking courses at different institutions may allow students to enroll in specific courses and meet specific requirements that build toward their future, but students must be aware that CCP funding and credit rules remain the same.
