The Department of Africana Studies (DAFS) is located in Oscar Ritchie Hall (ORH), an academic building named in honor of one of the first African Americans to hold a tenured position in the state of Ohio’s system of Higher Education.
College of Arts & Sciences
Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences, the intellectual heart of ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University! The undergraduate and graduate programs in the College encompass humanities, social sciences, natural and mathematical sciences. These programs are offered through 18 academic departments and schools. We offer associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in a wide range of fields. Students can enhance their academic experience in a number of ways by digging deeply into research, field experiences, studying abroad, or participating in a learning community, just to name a few.

Athletic Training
Athletic trainers are health care professionals that work with physicians and other health care professionals to help individuals return safely to sport, recreational, or work activity. Athletic trainers work in places where physically active people are found, such as high schools, colleges and universities, professional sports, and many more.

Department of Philosophy
The Philosophy Department at ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University is located in 320 Bowman Hall. Our department includes 13 dedicated full-time faculty on two campuses (Kent and Trumbull), all committed to our unique pluralistic curriculum.
Wick Poetry Center
The Wick Poetry Center encourages new voices by promoting opportunities for individuals and communities locally, regionally and nationally. Wick engages emerging and established poets and poetry audiences through readings, publications, workshops and scholarship opportunities.
Bursar's Office
We support the University's strategic goals by serving as the collection agent for the university and by performing its functions timely and accurately with a professional and courteous demeanor to students, parents, other university departments and external agencies.
