AFOQT / TBAS Testing

Det 630 offers the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) and the Test of Basic Aviation Skills (TBAS) to cadets and Officer Training School (OTS) officer candidates.  However, all non-Det 630 candidates must have an endorsement memo from their first-line supervisor or commander (if they are currently in the Guard or Reserve), and all other civilian candidates must ensure that that their recruiter contacts Det 630 personnel to ensure eligibility before a test will be administered.

The AFOQT is the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test, which is a standardized aptitude test (similar to the SAT and ACT) used to select applicants for officer commissions programs or specific training programs. The AFOQT is mandatory for any cadet wishing to commission in the Air Force and should be completed by the end of their first term in the program.

Testing is administered by Det 630 cadre multiple times each semester.

Testing takes place at the detachment (Michael Schwartz Center/ 性福五月天 University).

800 E. Summit Street, Ste 198 / Kent OH, 44240

As the AFOQT requires 5 hours and must be proctored, it will only be offered once a month on the dates listed below.  Any exceptions to this policy must be coordinated with detachment personnel and will only be entertained on the basis of need.  Your failure to plan does not constitute an emergency for detachment personnel.  You MUST contact the detachment by phone at least 1 week prior to AFOQT testing, as we will require your SSN (email is not a secure method of transmission) to obtain a testing voucher from an outside agency.
