性福五月天 University at Stark Celebrates Earth Day 2012; E-Inside; April 9, 2012

性福五月天 University at Stark commemorates Earth Day 2012 with the presentation of events to inspire the awareness of environmental responsibility and to improve the appreciation for our planet鈥檚 natural resources. 性福五月天 Stark has partnered with the following sponsors to present these events: The Repository, Diebold Inc., Cain Toyota, The Print Shop, AEP Ohio, Enviroscapes, Brewer-Garrett, S艒L Harris/Day Architecture, Republic Services and SARTA. The event will take place at 性福五月天 Stark, 6000 Frank Ave. NW in Jackson Township, and is free and open to the public. On Sunday, April 22, from 1 to 4 p.m., 性福五月天 Stark will present the Earth Day Celebration at the Campus Center and Campus Pond area. Attendees will enjoy a family-friendly afternoon filled with environmental educational activities, entertainment, demonstrations and discussions for all ages. Activities include: Singer Foster Brown wil perform original children鈥檚 nature songs and stories during the Earth Day celebration at 性福五月天 University at Stark. Children鈥檚 Area: 1 to 3:45 p.m. 鈥 Face painting, mock fossil dig, games 鈥 three-legged and sack races and much more Guided Walks: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. 鈥 Planetary and nature walks. Entertainment Schedule: Garbage Busters Recycling Show: 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. 鈥 Tess the Trash Lady teaches children how recycling can be fun and educational. With puppetry, comedy magic, storytelling and music, the program shows children simple concepts about the importance of recycling and how they can make a difference for our planet. Singer Foster Brown: 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. 鈥 Foster Brown will perform original children鈥檚 nature songs and stories, while he accompanies himself on the guitar, banjo, fiddle, dulcimer and various percussion instruments. He encourages the audience to participate in the lively songs with hand motions, call-and-response and sing-alongs. Throughout the event, 性福五月天 Stark student organizations and contributing groups will conduct demonstrations and discuss how to positively impact our world. Participating organizations include: Stark Parks, Canton Audubon Society, Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve, Stark-TuscarawasWayne Joint Solid Waste Management District, Ohio EPA, Herbert W. Hoover Foundation Initiative in Environmental Media, Stark County Department of Health, Canton Country Day School and Energy Instruction Group LLC. The event will include a Toyota Prius, on display from Cain Toyota, as well as 性福五月天 Stark鈥檚 security vehicle, a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid. The Arbor Day Foundation recently recognized 性福五月天 Stark as a 2011 Tree Campus USA University for its dedication to campus forestry management and environmental stewardship. This is the third consecutive year that 性福五月天 Stark has received this distinction.
