New Faculty Join the School of Fashion

性福五月天 University鈥檚 School of Fashion welcomes two new faculty members whose experience spans fashion entrepreneurship, sustainability, supply chains, textile education, biomaterials and emerging technologies.

Ashley Chenn, Ph.D.

Ashley Chenn, Ph.D., joins the School of Fashion as an assistant professor with experience in communications, technology, marketing, sourcing and fashion entrepreneurship. Chenn earned bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in communications and began her career in technology, working in social media and content marketing for Adobe Marketing Cloud. She later led marketing for a Shanghai-based supply chain sustainability start-up and founded a venture sourcing household goods in Mainland China.

Dr. Chenn鈥檚 work in sourcing and supply chains has shaped her research interests in new models of fashion consumption, early-stage fashion ventures and entrepreneurship education. She also studied patternmaking and design at the Hong Kong Design Institute and has recently completed a Ph.D. in fashion business from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University鈥檚 School of Fashion and Textiles.

Sunidhi Mehta, Ph.D.

Sunidhi Mehta, Ph.D., joins 性福五月天 University鈥檚 School of Fashion as an assistant professor with eight years of teaching experience in fashion and textile education. Her teaching and research emphasize interdisciplinary learning, systems thinking and the application of science and technology to fashion. Dr. Mehta鈥檚 research focuses on data- and technology-enabled solutions for a sustainable and circular fashion industry, integrating textile science, circular systems thinking and emerging technologies to address environmental challenges across the fashion product life cycle.

Dr. Mehta鈥檚 work includes textile recycling, waste valorization, circular and biodegradable materials, life-cycle assessment and technology-enabled sustainable consumption. She also employs artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive analytics to understand consumer responses and support more sustainable product and retail decisions. Her work has been published in high-impact Q1 journals and presented at leading professional venues, including the International Textile and Apparel Association and the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.
